Living in Boothbay Harbor, I am a husband, father, grandfather, a two-time near-death experiencer, storyteller, ordained pastor, writer, best-selling book author, entrepreneur, public speaker, tv talent, producer, and more. I earned my Master of Divinity at Yale University with a focus on the classics of western mysticism.

MINISTER

I served eighteen years as a Congregational community minister in the United Church of Christ, primarily along the coast of Maine.

TELEVISION

For fifteen years (2003-2018), I had the honor and privilege to broadcast ( a daily two-minute spot on two NBC TV stations with Daily Devotions (brand) just before the morning’s weather. Through this program, I reached thirty million viewers annually on TV (Nielsen Ratings) and uncounted listeners on FM and AM across Maine and New Hampshire, and around the nation.

I've had two  Near-Death Experiences. My first  "death" occurred in 1980 from hypothermia while ice climbing in Banff Provincial Park in Canada. I died again from a heart attack in 2015.

BOOKS

I wrote about my first experience in Heaven Is Beautiful. I have another book called Two Minutes for God: Quick Fixes for the Spirit. I’m currently working on a third book with the working title, Modern Mysticism and You.

MY WORK

Today, I'm focused on bringing the message of love to others through various means including Not Church Sundays, live stream meditations, videos, counseling services, books, articles, speaking engagements, and more.

LIFE'S JOYS

I enjoy spending time with my family, hanging with my granddaughter, stilt walking in parades, racing in sailboats, skiing, writing, and meditating.

"In the inner stillness where meditation leads, the Spirit secretly anoints the soul and heals our deepest wounds. In the twilight of life, God will not judge us on our earthly possessions and human success, but rather on how much we have loved." ~ John of the Cross
